Bertha
and Isaac Finkle
|
There's a feelling that you get when you do business with
the Finkle team. It's a feeling of utmost integrity, mixed
with a degree of camaraderie that's hard to come by in
today's business climate. It's a feeling that our customers
have known since 1928, when Bertha and Isaac Finkle began
distributing candy from the back of their family car.
Though the means of delivery was modest, customers knew
they could rely on Bertha and Isaac to deliver quality
products, on time, and at a fair price.
Without realizing it, Bertha and Isaac
created more than a family business.
They began a network of "partners" -
employees and customers alike - working
together to achieve success.
Today, with 280 employees, Finkle Distributors, Inc. (FDI)
is one of the largest distributors of candy, tobacco and
grocery items in upstate New York. The old family car
has given way to a fleet of modern delivery trucks, supplying
our customers with a wealth of products out of our new,
113,000-square-foot headquarters and distribution center.
Though time has changed the size and scope of our business, our
values have remained the same: Honesty, Quality, and Dedication
- to our employees and to our customers.

"We got where we are because of hard work,"
says Leon Finkle. "And we've always been up front
with everybody in everything we do. Our employees and
our customers know they can trust us."
